Introduction
🧭 Every Legend Begins As A Prisoner
Y our character is the foundation of every story you will experience on Ash & Blood. Every friendship, rivalry, triumph and tragedy begins with a believable individual whose ambitions, flaws and personality naturally fit within the harsh realities of the Hyborian Age. While greatness may eventually be achieved, it must always be earned through roleplay rather than granted through an exceptional backstory.
Every player enters the Exiled Lands under the same circumstances: bound by the bracelet, stripped of their former status and forced to survive in an unforgiving world. Noble titles, legendary reputations, immense wealth and mythical powers have no place at the beginning of your journey. Your story starts here—not somewhere else.
This book establishes the standards governing character creation, lore compliance, backgrounds, physical appearance, progression and long-term narrative development. These guidelines exist to ensure every character has room to grow while preserving fairness and immersion across the entire server.
Character Philosophy
Interesting characters are defined by their flaws, choices and development, not by how powerful they claim to have been before arriving in the Exiled Lands.

SECTION I: Character Philosophy
SECTION I
Character Philosophy
Every memorable story begins with a believable character. While kingdoms may rise, legends may be forged and names may become known throughout the Exiled Lands, no character begins their journey as an unstoppable hero. Your greatest accomplishments should be earned through months of roleplay, difficult choices and meaningful experiences rather than being granted by an extraordinary backstory.
Ash & Blood is built around grounded, character-driven storytelling. Players are encouraged to create individuals with believable personalities, strengths, weaknesses and ambitions that naturally fit within Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age. Your history should explain who your character was—not guarantee who they will become.
The Exiled Lands are designed to be a fresh beginning. Every prisoner arrives stripped of their former influence, possessions and reputation. Whether your character once served as a soldier, merchant, hunter or noble, none of those experiences automatically grant authority, wealth or exceptional abilities once they awaken beneath the bracelet. From this point onward, every friendship, rivalry, title and achievement must be earned entirely through roleplay.
✔ Strong Character Concepts
- Characters with realistic strengths and flaws.
- Goals that can develop naturally through roleplay.
- Believable motivations rooted in the setting.
- Room for personal growth and failure.
- A personality that evolves through experience.
✖ Weak Character Concepts
- Legendary heroes before arriving on the server.
- Characters with no meaningful flaws.
- Backstories that solve every future challenge.
- One-dimensional personalities.
- Characters whose purpose is simply to be "the strongest."
📖 Character Growth
Your first day should look very different from your hundredth. Relationships, political influence, combat experience, wealth, reputation and personal beliefs should gradually change through meaningful interactions with other players. Characters who never evolve often become predictable, while those shaped by success and failure naturally create richer stories.
Growth should always feel earned rather than predetermined.
⚠ Your Backstory Is A Beginning
A backstory provides context—not accomplishments. It explains where your character came from, the experiences that shaped them and why they think the way they do. It should never function as a substitute for actual roleplay or grant automatic influence within the Exiled Lands.
Your future story will always matter more than your past.
📖 Example
A former Bossonian hunter enters the Exiled Lands with years of experience surviving the wilderness, but quickly discovers that survival in exile demands far more than hunting skill alone. They struggle to earn allies, barter for food and adapt to unfamiliar cultures before eventually becoming a respected ranger through months of roleplay.
Contrast this with a character who claims to have been the greatest hunter in the known world, capable of defeating monsters single-handedly and recognized by kings throughout the Hyborian Age. Such a concept leaves little room for believable progression and undermines the server's philosophy of earned development.
The first character has somewhere to grow. The second has nowhere meaningful to go.
- Create a believable person, not a legendary hero.
- Leave room for growth, failure and change.
- Your backstory explains your past—it does not determine your future.
- Every title, friendship and accomplishment should be earned through roleplay.
- The most memorable characters are defined by their journey, not their origin.
✦
SECTION II: Starting Conditions
SECTION II
Starting Conditions
Every character begins their journey under exactly the same circumstances. Regardless of their previous occupation, homeland or social standing, every prisoner arrives in the Exiled Lands stripped of their possessions, influence and freedom. The bracelet bound to your wrist serves as a constant reminder that whatever life you once lived has come to an end.
Ash & Blood is designed around the idea that every meaningful achievement should occur on the server, not before joining it. Wealth must be earned, reputations must be built, political influence must be established and friendships must develop naturally through roleplay. Your character's history may shape their personality, but it never grants them advantages over other players.
This shared beginning ensures that every player starts from equal footing. No one enters the world with hidden kingdoms, secret fortunes, legendary equipment or extraordinary privileges. Every prisoner faces the same harsh environment, and every future success depends entirely upon the choices they make after arriving in the Exiled Lands.
✔ Every Character Begins With
- No established influence within the Exiled Lands.
- No political authority.
- No personal settlement.
- No accumulated wealth.
- No legendary reputation.
- No special privileges over other prisoners.
✖ Characters Do Not Begin With
- Secret treasure caches.
- Hidden armies or loyal followers.
- Powerful magical artifacts.
- Political control over existing factions.
- Established fame inside the Exiled Lands.
- Narrative advantages inherited from previous servers.
🪓 The Bracelet Changes Everything
Every exile wears the magical bracelet placed upon them before their execution. It is far more than a decorative item—it defines the reality of the setting.
The bracelet prevents characters from escaping the Exiled Lands, suppresses sorcerous potential and forms one of the fundamental narrative limitations shared by every player. No backstory, hidden ritual, divine blessing or unique ancestry may override or ignore its effects without explicit administrative approval.
Every prisoner is bound by the same curse, regardless of who they once were.
⚠ Equality Through Exile
One of the core philosophies of Ash & Blood is that every player begins with the same opportunity to succeed. While characters may possess different personalities, cultures and life experiences, nobody begins with narrative or mechanical advantages that others cannot reasonably obtain through roleplay.
Fairness at the beginning creates more meaningful accomplishments later.
📖 Example
A character may have once served as a respected officer within the Aquilonian army before being condemned to exile. Those experiences may influence how they think, speak and approach military strategy, but they do not arrive with loyal soldiers waiting for them, official authority over other players or a hidden stockpile of weapons buried somewhere in the Exiled Lands.
Instead, they must rebuild everything from the ground up through leadership, diplomacy and roleplay, earning the respect of others exactly as every other prisoner must.
Their past explains their knowledge. Their future determines their legacy.
- Every player begins as an ordinary exile.
- Your past shapes your character—it does not grant advantages.
- The bracelet binds every prisoner equally.
- All influence, wealth and reputation must be earned through roleplay.
- Your greatest achievements should happen on Ash & Blood—not before joining it.
✦
SECTION III: Age & Physical Presentation
SECTION III
Age & Physical Presentation
Every character on Ash & Blood must present themselves as a believable adult within the harsh world of the Hyborian Age. While appearances may vary between cultures, professions and lifestyles, every character should possess a mature physical appearance consistent with the realities of the setting. Your visual presentation is often the first impression other players receive, and it should accurately represent the character you intend to portray.
Characters designed to resemble children, adolescents or intentionally youthful individuals are not permitted under any circumstances. This includes body proportions, facial features, clothing choices, animations and behavioral roleplay that would reasonably cause a character to appear underage. Claims such as "they are actually hundreds of years old" or similar narrative justifications do not override this requirement.
Likewise, players are encouraged to create visually grounded characters that fit naturally within Conan's sword-and-sorcery universe. While scars, tattoos, war paint and cultural markings may help distinguish a character, exaggerated fantasy appearances or designs that clash with the established setting should be avoided.
✔ Appropriate Characters
- Clearly adult physical appearance.
- Believable body proportions.
- Visual designs that fit Conan lore.
- Scars, tattoos and markings appropriate to the setting.
- Clothing that reflects the character's culture and lifestyle.
✖ Prohibited Concepts
- Characters who appear to be children.
- "Ancient being trapped inside a child's body."
- Childlike behavior intended to bypass the rule.
- Characters designed to appear intentionally underage.
- Visual concepts that conflict with the setting.
🎨 Character Design
Players are encouraged to create distinctive characters through believable customization rather than excessive exaggeration. Hairstyles, facial hair, scars, tattoos, jewelry and clothing should complement the character's background while remaining grounded within the Hyborian setting.
The goal is to create someone memorable because of their personality and story—not because their appearance breaks immersion.
⚠ Mature Themes
Because Ash & Blood permits mature roleplay between consenting adults, every playable character must be clearly identifiable as an adult. This requirement protects both the integrity of the setting and the safety of the community.
Any character whose appearance creates reasonable doubt regarding their age may be subject to administrative review and required redesign.
📖 Example
A young Zamorian thief may appear lean, clean-shaven and youthful while still presenting as an unmistakable adult. Their appearance reflects inexperience without resembling a child.
Conversely, creating an extremely small character with childlike proportions, innocent behavior and claiming they are "actually a 300-year-old sorcerer" would violate the server's presentation standards regardless of the written backstory.
Your visual design should immediately communicate that your character is an adult member of the Hyborian world.
- Every character must clearly appear to be an adult.
- Your appearance should reinforce immersion.
- Create believable designs that fit the Hyborian Age.
- Childlike concepts are never permitted.
- Strong visual design complements strong roleplay.
✦
SECTION IV: Heritage & Social Status
SECTION IV
Heritage & Social Status
A character's homeland, upbringing and culture are among the most important aspects of their identity. Whether your exile was born beneath the frozen skies of Cimmeria, the bustling streets of Zamora or the deserts of Stygia, those origins should influence their beliefs, customs, speech and worldview. Heritage provides flavor and depth, but it should never function as a source of automatic influence or privilege within the Exiled Lands.
Every character arrives in exile as a condemned prisoner. Whatever titles, positions or social standing they once possessed have been left behind. Kings no longer command armies, priests no longer govern temples and nobles no longer possess estates. The Exiled Lands recognize none of these former distinctions. Every exile must earn their reputation through their actions within Ash & Blood rather than relying upon claims made in their backstory.
Players are encouraged to draw inspiration from the cultures established within Robert E. Howard's Hyborian Age. Distinct customs, accents, traditions and values help create memorable characters while strengthening immersion for everyone they encounter. However, heritage should enrich roleplay—not provide authority over other players.
✔ Appropriate Concepts
- A former caravan guard from Shem.
- A Bossonian hunter familiar with woodland survival.
- A Stygian scribe educated by temple scholars.
- A Cimmerian blacksmith's apprentice.
- A wandering Zingaran sailor.
- A Nordheimer raider seeking a new beginning.
✖ Prohibited Concepts
- Kings, queens or reigning monarchs.
- Hidden heirs to powerful dynasties.
- Secret princes or princesses.
- Characters whose authority comes from birth.
- Political leverage based upon noble lineage.
- Backstories that grant automatic influence over others.
👑 Noble Birth & Political Status
Royal bloodlines, reigning dynasties, secret heirs and similar concepts are not permitted on Ash & Blood. Characters may not arrive claiming inheritance rights, political legitimacy or authority derived from their ancestry.
Minor nobility may be considered on a case-by-case basis only with prior staff approval, provided the concept grants no practical advantage within the Exiled Lands and exists solely as narrative background.
Once exiled, every prisoner stands equal beneath the bracelet regardless of who they once were.
⚠ Reputation Must Be Earned
Your character should never arrive expecting recognition simply because of their past. The inhabitants of the Exiled Lands neither know nor care about former titles, military ranks or noble ancestry unless those relationships are developed naturally through roleplay on the server.
If your character wishes to become a ruler, high priest, military commander or political leader, those positions must be earned through dedication, leadership and meaningful interaction with the community.
📖 Example
A character may write that they once served as the youngest son of a minor Aquilonian noble family before being falsely accused of treason and condemned to exile. Their upbringing explains their education, manners and understanding of politics, but it grants them no influence, authority or loyal followers after arriving in the Exiled Lands.
By contrast, a character claiming to be the rightful heir to Aquilonia's throne who expects kingdoms to acknowledge their birthright fundamentally conflicts with the server's progression philosophy and would not be permitted.
Your heritage explains your past. Your actions determine your future.
- Your culture shapes your personality, not your authority.
- Royal bloodlines and hidden heirs are not permitted.
- Former titles grant no influence within the Exiled Lands.
- Political power must be earned through roleplay.
- Every exile begins as an equal beneath the bracelet.
✦
SECTION V: Skills & Experience
SECTION V
Skills & Experience
Every character arrives in the Exiled Lands with experiences shaped by their previous life. A former sailor may understand navigation, a blacksmith may recognize quality craftsmanship and a hunter may possess knowledge of tracking wildlife. These experiences help define who your character is, but they should never make them exceptionally skilled or superior to everyone around them.
Characters should possess practical knowledge appropriate to their background while remaining limited by believable human capability. Your backstory may explain why your character understands a profession or craft, but mastery should always be developed through roleplay after arriving in the Exiled Lands. No character begins as the greatest swordsman, most brilliant strategist or unrivaled craftsman in the known world.
Ash & Blood encourages gradual progression. Characters become experienced because they survive battles, apprentice beneath skilled mentors, practice their craft and learn from failure. Long-term development creates far more rewarding stories than beginning with every skill already perfected.
✔ Appropriate Skills
- A hunter familiar with tracking wildlife.
- A merchant experienced in negotiation.
- A former soldier with military discipline.
- A blacksmith familiar with forging tools.
- A healer knowledgeable in herbal remedies.
- A sailor experienced with ships and navigation.
✖ Unrealistic Experience
- Master of every weapon.
- The greatest strategist of the Hyborian Age.
- Unmatched martial artist.
- Legendary inventor or genius.
- Perfect knowledge of every culture.
- Never losing a duel or battle.
📚 Practical Knowledge
Characters may possess knowledge that reasonably aligns with their previous occupation or upbringing. A caravan guard understands travel routes. A temple scribe can read and write. A fisherman recognizes tides and rivers. These forms of knowledge enrich roleplay without granting extraordinary influence over the world.
Experience should provide opportunities for roleplay—not automatic success.
⚠ Room To Improve
Every character should have skills they wish to develop and weaknesses they hope to overcome. Whether learning to fight, mastering a craft or becoming a respected leader, progression should occur naturally through interaction with other players rather than through statements written in a biography.
The most satisfying accomplishments are those achieved through months of roleplay rather than a single paragraph of backstory.
📖 Example
A former Aquilonian infantryman enters exile already familiar with military discipline, shield formations and basic swordsmanship. These experiences influence how they approach combat and leadership, but they do not automatically make them the finest warrior on the server.
Over time, they participate in campaigns, survive sieges, train alongside experienced veterans and gradually become a respected commander through their actions. Their reputation grows because of what they accomplish in the Exiled Lands—not because of what their biography claimed beforehand.
Their knowledge opened the door. Their roleplay earned the recognition.
- Your background may explain your skills, but it does not perfect them.
- Leave room for your character to learn and improve.
- Practical knowledge is believable—legendary mastery is not.
- Experience gained through roleplay is more valuable than experience written in a backstory.
- Your greatest achievements should always be earned within the Exiled Lands.
✦
SECTION VI: Wealth & Resources
SECTION VI
Wealth & Resources
The Exiled Lands are a place where survival must be earned. Regardless of your character's former occupation or social standing, every exile begins with little more than the clothes upon their back and the will to survive. Wealth, equipment, property and influence are all part of your character's journey—not something they begin with.
Your backstory may explain that your character once belonged to a wealthy merchant family, commanded successful caravans or possessed considerable personal fortunes. Those possessions, however, were left behind when they were sentenced to exile. The Exiled Lands recognize only what a character acquires through roleplay, exploration, craftsmanship and cooperation with other players.
Economic progression is intended to be gradual and meaningful. Building a prosperous settlement, establishing trade routes, acquiring rare equipment and accumulating valuable resources should all represent accomplishments achieved through dedication rather than assumptions made during character creation.
✔ Acceptable Backgrounds
- A former merchant who lost everything.
- A blacksmith seeking to rebuild their trade.
- A hunter surviving with limited supplies.
- A caravan guard starting over in exile.
- A noble whose fortune was confiscated before exile.
✖ Not Permitted
- Hidden treasure caches waiting to be recovered.
- Secret vaults filled with gold.
- Unlimited family wealth.
- Ships loaded with personal supplies.
- Powerful allies secretly funding your character.
- Backstory equipment unavailable to other players.
🏛 Building Something Worth Defending
One of the most rewarding aspects of roleplay is watching a character slowly establish themselves within the world. A humble camp may eventually become a thriving settlement. A travelling trader may one day control an influential merchant company. Those accomplishments feel significant because every step was earned through gameplay and interaction with the community.
Ownership should always be the result of effort—not entitlement.
⚠ Economic Progression
Financial success should develop naturally over time. Characters who accumulate wealth are encouraged to reinvest it into businesses, settlements, trade networks, political influence and roleplay opportunities rather than treating wealth as an end goal in itself.
Prosperity should create new stories for both your character and the wider community.
📖 Example
A character writes that they once managed a prosperous trading company in Argos before political rivals orchestrated their exile. Although they retain their knowledge of commerce and negotiation, they begin their journey with no surviving fortune, no merchant fleet and no employees waiting for them.
Over the following months they establish new trade agreements, recruit caravans, open a marketplace and eventually become one of the wealthiest merchants in the Exiled Lands. Their influence exists because it was earned through consistent roleplay rather than inherited through their backstory.
Their previous success explains their ambition. Their new success is created through action.
- Every exile begins with very little.
- Your former wealth does not exist inside the Exiled Lands.
- Build your fortune through roleplay and perseverance.
- Prosperity should create new opportunities for storytelling.
- The most meaningful wealth is the wealth your character earns.
✦
SECTION VII: Lore Compliance
SECTION VII
Lore Compliance
Ash & Blood is set within the Hyborian Age created by Robert E. Howard and expanded through the official Conan roleplaying material. While players are encouraged to create unique characters with their own personalities and ambitions, every concept should remain believable within the established setting. Respecting the lore allows everyone to share the same world and creates a consistent roleplaying experience across the server.
Your character does not need to be an expert historian, nor are players expected to memorize every kingdom, culture or historical event. However, character concepts should reasonably fit within the civilizations, religions, technology and themes that define the Conan universe. If a concept fundamentally contradicts the setting, it is unlikely to be approved regardless of how creative it may be.
Original ideas are encouraged. Original lore is not. Your character should contribute to the world that already exists rather than attempting to replace or redefine it. The most memorable stories often come from ordinary people navigating extraordinary circumstances—not from inventing entirely new civilizations, races or supernatural origins.
✔ Lore-Friendly Concepts
- A Bossonian archer seeking redemption.
- A Stygian scholar fascinated by forgotten ruins.
- A Hyrkanian scout surviving in exile.
- A Cimmerian mercenary searching for purpose.
- An Argossean sailor stranded far from home.
- A priest devoted to an established Hyborian deity.
✖ Lore-Breaking Concepts
- Entirely new playable races.
- Characters from other universes.
- Aliens, time travelers or modern humans.
- Immortal demigods or divine incarnations.
- Characters who rewrite established Hyborian history.
- Origins that contradict official Conan lore.
🌍 Established Cultures
Characters should originate from civilizations, tribes or peoples that reasonably exist within the Hyborian Age. Cultural traditions, religious beliefs, customs and languages are excellent opportunities to add depth and individuality without contradicting established lore.
Being unique does not require inventing an entirely new civilization—it requires portraying an existing one convincingly.
⚠ Creative Freedom
Creativity is strongly encouraged, but it should always operate within the boundaries of the setting. Personal histories, motivations, relationships and ambitions provide almost limitless opportunities for originality without conflicting with the world's established lore.
Ask yourself a simple question: "Could this character reasonably exist within Robert E. Howard's world?" If the answer is yes, you're probably on the right track.
📖 Example
A player creates a former Kushite caravan guard who spent years escorting merchants across the southern kingdoms before being captured by slavers and eventually condemned to exile. The concept fits naturally within the Hyborian setting, provides useful roleplay opportunities and leaves plenty of room for future development.
Another player instead creates the last surviving prince of a forgotten continent inhabited by dragon-riding immortals who possess ancient magical technology unknown to the rest of the world. While imaginative, the concept conflicts with the established setting and would not be appropriate for Ash & Blood.
Believable characters strengthen the shared world. Lore-breaking characters weaken it.
- Create characters that naturally fit within the Hyborian Age.
- Original personalities are encouraged; original worlds are not.
- Use established cultures, kingdoms and religions whenever possible.
- Respecting the lore strengthens immersion for everyone.
- When in doubt, build upon the existing world rather than replacing it.
✦
SECTION VIII: Continuity & Character Progression
SECTION VIII
Continuity & Character Progression
A character's journey does not end once they have established themselves within the Exiled Lands. Every conversation, alliance, betrayal, victory and defeat contributes to an ongoing story that should remain consistent over time. Characters are expected to remember major events that affected them and allow those experiences to influence their future decisions, relationships and outlook on the world.
Growth should occur naturally through roleplay. A frightened exile may eventually become a respected commander. A ruthless mercenary may slowly discover compassion. Likewise, trusted allies may become bitter enemies after years of political conflict. Meaningful progression comes from experiences that occur on the server, not from rewriting a character's history whenever it becomes convenient.
While characters are expected to evolve, that evolution should remain believable. Personalities rarely change overnight, and dramatic shifts in behavior should be supported by significant in-character experiences. Consistency creates immersion, while sudden unexplained transformations often undermine it.
✔ Good Progression
- Learning from past mistakes.
- Allowing traumatic events to influence future behavior.
- Developing friendships over time.
- Gradually earning leadership through roleplay.
- Accepting that experiences permanently shape your character.
✖ Poor Progression
- Ignoring major roleplay events.
- Completely changing personality without explanation.
- Pretending traumatic experiences never happened.
- Rewriting your backstory to justify new behavior.
- Resetting your character whenever something goes wrong.
📚 Character Memory
Characters should remember the important events they personally experienced. Long-standing alliances, political rivalries, wars, betrayals, imprisonments and other significant moments become part of your character's history and should continue influencing future roleplay.
A consistent memory helps create believable long-term storytelling across the server.
⚠ Meaningful Development
Character development should be gradual rather than instantaneous. A coward rarely becomes fearless overnight, and a ruthless tyrant seldom transforms into a compassionate leader without meaningful experiences to justify that change.
Allow your character's personality to evolve naturally through months of roleplay rather than a single conversation or event.
📖 Example
A young exile initially distrusts every stranger after surviving months of slavery. During their time in the Exiled Lands they slowly build friendships, establish a settlement and eventually become a respected community leader. Even after gaining confidence, they continue displaying traces of caution and suspicion born from their earlier experiences.
Their personality has changed dramatically over time, yet every stage of that evolution was supported by believable roleplay. Players who have interacted with them throughout the journey can clearly understand why the character has become the person they are today.
Growth feels meaningful because every step was earned through the story itself.
- Your character should evolve through roleplay.
- Major events should have lasting consequences.
- Consistency creates believable storytelling.
- Growth should be gradual and well-earned.
- Your history is written by your experiences in the Exiled Lands.
✦
SECTION IX: Retiring, Rerolling & Character Continuity
SECTION IX
Retiring, Rerolling & Character Continuity
Every story eventually reaches its conclusion. Some characters retire after achieving their ambitions, others disappear into the wilderness, while a select few meet a dramatic end through the events of roleplay. Regardless of how a character's journey concludes, their history remains a permanent part of Ash & Blood's shared narrative and should be respected accordingly.
Creating a new character does not erase the existence of your previous one. Relationships formed, wars fought, settlements founded and reputations earned all remain part of the world's history. Your new character begins their own independent journey and should never inherit the accomplishments, political influence, possessions or knowledge of characters you previously played.
Likewise, rerolling should never be used to escape the consequences of roleplay. Characters who face imprisonment, political defeat, financial hardship or damaged reputations are expected to resolve those stories through roleplay rather than abandoning them in favor of a fresh start. Every consequence contributes to the shared world, and every ending should feel meaningful.
✔ Good Character Continuity
- Allow stories to reach natural conclusions.
- Create entirely new personalities when rerolling.
- Accept the consequences of previous roleplay.
- Separate old and new characters completely.
- Respect the server's shared history.
✖ Unacceptable Behavior
- Rerolling to avoid consequences.
- Giving a new character your previous wealth.
- Sharing knowledge between characters.
- Immediately recreating the same character under a new name.
- Pretending previous events never happened.
🎭 Every Character Deserves Their Own Story
No two characters should feel interchangeable. A new character should possess their own ambitions, personality, relationships and motivations rather than serving as a continuation of a previous character with a different appearance.
Starting over should create a new narrative—not preserve an old one through different means.
⚠ Separate Your Characters
Each character should exist independently. Information learned by one character may not automatically be known by another, even if both are played by the same individual. Likewise, friendships, rivalries and political loyalties should develop independently through roleplay rather than carrying over between characters.
Every new character begins with a blank page—not an inherited legacy.
📖 Example
After several months of roleplay, a respected mercenary captain retires following the conclusion of a major war. Weeks later, the same player creates a young Stygian scholar with no military experience and no connections to the previous character.
Although the player remembers every event from the earlier campaign, the new scholar knows nothing about those conflicts unless they learn about them naturally through roleplay. They build their own friendships, reputation and ambitions entirely from the beginning.
The player's experience continues. The character's story starts anew.
- Every character deserves their own unique journey.
- Do not use rerolls to escape roleplay consequences.
- Separate knowledge, relationships and reputation between characters.
- Your previous stories remain part of the server's history.
- Great endings are just as important as great beginnings.
✦
