About Samudra Gupta

Samudra Gupta is a Vendhyan prince in exile. He is Kshatriya-born, son of parents who were born and raised on the Shirakma coast. Though they later moved to the capital of Vendhya, Ayodhya as wealthy trade merchants. This is the world Samudra was born into.
During the great famine of Vendhya, Samudra insisted the temple priests open the food store houses to feed the people. During the confrontation, he struck several priests. Perhaps one died, resulting in his exile.
Upon arrival in the exiled lands, he established a new Ayodhya on the Divine Island. He named it Nav-Ayodhya. After the death of his High Priestess at the hand of Stygian Sorcerers and the continuing threat from the dark forces of Bloodmoon Isle, he left the Divine Island and established Nav-Ayodhya in the lighthouse ruins of Xel-ha.
Nav-Ayodhya has become a refuge in the jungles. An asylum for refugees and freed slaves. A place of knowledge, mercy, and freedom.

Shirakman Wine

Samudra brought seeds from the Shirakma grape vine when exiled (how he stowed them through the process of being exiled is something less desirable to discuss). He used those seeds to grow Shirakma vineyards. From the vine he created his Vendhyan famous Shirakma wine available for trade.

The Divine Island

Nav-Ayodhya had its beginnings in the exiled lands on the Divine Island, before the Stygian sorcerers of Bloodmoon Isle drove its people to find refuge elsewhere. Only Feiyan, an original member of Nav-Ayodhya survived and ventured with Samudra to Xel-ha.
