Aurora

The noble daughter of a border lord of Aquilonia ruling a fort-city near the Pictish wilderness. After a mysterious sorcerer from the wild gained her father's ear and slowly subverted his judgment and eventually mind, she attempted to lead a rebellion. It's purpose was to remove the sorcerer and her father if necessary, and to ensure the safety of the border. She failed, and was tortured until she gave up the names of her co-conspirators, who were all executed. She herself, due to her birth and a moment of clarity from her father, was spared and sentenced instead to exile.
