Chapter I • Introduction
Welcome to Restricted Exiles
Restricted Exiles is one of the most comprehensive roleplay expansion mods ever created for Conan Exiles. Rather than replacing the base game, it builds directly on top of it by introducing dozens of immersive mechanics designed specifically for roleplay communities.
Instead of simply adding equipment, Restricted Exiles introduces entirely new gameplay systems. Ownership, restraints, tracking, branding, training, inventory interaction, customizable locks, player consent, advanced restraints, progression, and many other mechanics all work together to create roleplay experiences that simply are not possible in the vanilla game.
Whether your server focuses on heavy roleplay, consensual captivity, criminal organizations, slavery, prisons, mercenary companies, religious cults, bounty hunters, or simply immersive storytelling, Restricted Exiles provides the tools necessary to bring those stories to life.
⚔ What Makes Restricted Exiles Different?
Many Conan Exiles mods simply introduce new armor sets, weapons, placeables, or decorative assets. Restricted Exiles takes a completely different approach.
Instead of expanding what players can craft, it expands how players interact with one another.
Nearly every feature revolves around meaningful player interaction.
- Custom locking systems
- Interactive restraints
- Ownership mechanics
- Consent-based inventory access
- Training progression
- Branding
- Tracking equipment
- Leashes
- Player management tools
- Advanced roleplay devices
- Server-side customization
Every mechanic is highly configurable, allowing server administrators to decide exactly how immersive or restrictive their gameplay experience should become.
🧩 Core Philosophy
Restricted Exiles is not about forcing gameplay. It is about creating believable interactions through player choice, server rules, and immersive mechanics.
Almost every major system supports consent settings, server configuration, or administrator customization. This allows each community to tailor the mod to its own ruleset while preserving player agency.
For example, one server may choose to enable advanced ownership mechanics while another only uses the locking system and decorative restraints. Likewise, Hardcore Mode, Inventory Access, Tracking, Lockpicking, Training, Branding, and Ownership can all be individually enabled or disabled depending on the server's needs.
